Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue took the stage at the 2014 Russian River Blues Festival, sandwiched between sets by Ana Popovic and Gary Clark Jr. This was nothing short of a dream line-up for me. Orleans Avenue is an outstanding band and it was great to see them next to the river on a nice sunny day. Band leader Troy is crazy good and bass player, Mike Ballard is too much fun to watch. They had the audience fully energized. I always look forward to seeing these guys.
